Definition of Construction and Demolition Debris

Those materials resulting from the:


  • Alteration
  • Construction
  • Destruction
  • Rehabilitation or Repair of any manmade physical structure, including, without limitation:
  • Houses
  • Buildings
  • Industrial or commercial facilities or roadways


It Includes such materials as:
Acceptable Waste Materials


  • Brick
  • Concrete and Other Masonry Material
  • Stone
  • Glass
  • Wall Coverings
  • Plaster
  • Drywall
  • Framing Lumber
  • Finishing Lumber
  • Roofing Materials
  • Plumbing Fixtures
  • Heating Equipment
  • Electrical Wiring
  • Insulation
  • Affixed Carpeting
  • Asphaltic Substances
  • Metals incidental to any of the above
  • Weathered railroad ties
  • Weathered utility poles
  • Or other structural, functioning, or packaging materials incidental to the structure and surrounding the construction site improvements.


It does not Include:
Construction Waste Materials


  • Listed solid, infectious, or hazardous waste
  • Tires
  • Batteries
  • Liquid or Oil Drums.


Not Considered C&DD, but allowed:


  • Tree Stumps
  • Tree Trunks
  • Tree branches larger than 4" in diameter.
